Their results, published today in the prestigious journal Science, present the most direct experimental evidence to date of electronic nematicity as a universal feature in cuprate high-temperature superconductors. "In this study, we identify some unexpected alignment of the electrons - a finding that is likely generic to the high temperature superconductors and in time may turn out be a key ingredient of the problem," said Professor Hawthorn.

Heavy fermions get nuclear boost on way to superconductivity

Rice University physicist and study co-author Qimiao Si said the research provides further evidence that unconventional superconductivity arises from "quantum criticality."

"There is already compelling evidence that unconventional superconductivity is linked in both copper-based and iron-based high-temperature superconductors to quantum fluctuations that alter the magnetic order of the materials at 'quantum critical points,' watershed thresholds that mark the transition from one quantum phase to another," Si said. "This work provides the first evidence that similar processes bring about superconductivity in the canonical heavy-fermion system YRS."

Electrons fall within a quantum category called fermions. Heavy fermions are composite materials that contain rare earth elements. Their name stems from the fact that at extremely low temperatures, typically less than 1 kelvin, electrons move through the material as if they were 1,000 times more massive than normal. In the latest experiments, Si said, the measured heat capacity was so large that the electrons behaved as if they were heavier still—about 1 million times heavier than normal. This occurred as the YRS was cooled to just above the point of superconductivity, around 2 millikelvins.

Isolation and separateness of the natural laws will not get us past the following preliminary and elementary concepts of field applications.

About that ‘Time’…….and the subsequent distortions derived from a rudimentary definition

It is difficult to conceive our 21^st century’s “new” prevailing view of time still allows for the possibility of actual travel to the past or to the future.

How does one do that in the ever-present blink of “NOW” everywhere?

The PAST is memory and can be seen only visually by the light between any two or more reference points, the variance becoming significant dependent upon distance. The light reaching us from our sun, stars, galaxies contains the past, distance dependent.  An instantaneous energy differential shift of position from our reference point on earth to the nearest star (Alpha Centauri - 4 light years) would put us in the same NOW of time from which we came. In the change of location, the energy of position offsets the gravitational loss and all laws of conservation are upheld and satisfied. Looking back at earth, we would see ourselves 4 years in the past, as yet only contemplating our trip. Our instantaneous trip back to the earth (from Alpha Centauri ref point) would APPEAR to take us to the future, but only takes us back to the same now from which we left. It is all about energy differentials which both space and time represent.

 The FUTURE resides only in our imagination. With sufficient data, subtle and creative forces and energy differentials in wavelike motion in the NOW, can be (and are) predicted to intersect (if not interfered with) to produce a future reality. We do this 1000’s of times daily, consciously and unconsciously by habit. Activation of forces with physical events create our future from simple getting to work on time, to weather prediction, placing satellites in orbit, to insufficient black hole data for even a definition. Where the force lines intersect, provided no intervening interference, we can predict a future event. (those with keener insight can visualize the scene with photo like properties.

With everything VISUALLY DEPENDENT UPON LIGHT, AND ITS SPEED, we need to get past this new ‘flat earth’ narrow syndrome in science, and look at reality beyond the VC constant limit which remains an error of definition. We must clear our minds of the thought block produced by the assumption that the quantity C is a factor of absolute limit. We must realize that it is a limiting factor only with respect to two given reference points, and that it is perfectly possible to conceive of a series of consecutive reference points between each two of which a differential equal to the quantity C may exist. Perhaps then if the ratio of compression and expansion were made at the golden ratio, then they would be equal when viewed from opposite perspectives. Whereas the geodesics of a Minkowski continuum (without mass-point accelerations) are straight lines, those of a general relativistic, or Riemannian, universe containing local concentrations of mass are curved; and gravitational fields can be interpreted as manifestations of the space-time curvature. However, one can always find coordinate systems in which, locally, the gravitational field strength is nonexistent. Such a reference frame, affixed to a selected world point, would naturally be in free-fall acceleration near a concentrated mass. Beyond Content Free Whimsy – The Whole Reality: Matter and Mind

Cern's potential new particle discovery is 'a total game changer'  We may continue to break matter down into tinier and tinier pieces at the large Hadron Collider (or its future, ever more powerful, innovative and costly designs) eventually approaching trillions of miniscule, ever smaller- at times larger, broken shards – each possessing a claim of ‘revolutionary new physics’ property ……….. until, some day, soon we hope, recognition dawns that it is just another smaller/larger broken piece of, as they say, “glass”.

Understanding and application of “field propulsion – the clean nuclear concept – as the natural and universal means of producing kinetic energy differentials” will not come from broken pieces, nor from worm holes, worms, and time warps….to name a few flimsy tangents of thought derived from a flawed, and incomplete foundation.  

Coordinate transformations, reference frames, (spatial and temporal), (or neither – superspace), nor speculative theories with more than four dimensions, such as string theory predict 10 or 26 dimensions, with M-theory predicting 11 dimensions …. all require conversions into a more fundamental (and common) denominator toward understanding and application of the more profound facets of Natural Law underlying - space time mass matter energy gravity (see ‘back to skipped fundamentals’ – end of this post).

Moreover, the duality ‘wave/particle’ issue and the mind/matter relationship can no longer be ignored, nor misdiagnosed, for comprehension, Understanding, to dawn to a new expanded physics possessing a larger common sense window to reality (Sir Roger Penrose video below) …… quite necessary for human survival. 

As Einstein stated, and science today is commencing to prove, matter and energy at their fundamental levels, are reduced to a frequency of vibration, intertwined with space, time, and fields, bounded by light, the quantity C, whose dominant nature is the yin yang, a sine wave analogy with a dimensional zero point, the pivotal point upon which the natural laws become manifest, the kinetic energy equivalent of the mass energy of matter  – the meeting point of mind, consciousness.

Spin, spintronics, magnetic resonance, electron-spin resonance, nuclear magnetic resonance all point to the necessity of a more integrated, a more fundamental viewing point.
