Energy and Economy – Upgrade

Some Thoughts on Energy and Economy Evolution - courtesy of Soundoff

The cartoon version of black holes sucking everything up like a vacuum cleaner, provides a trendy ‘outcome’ analogy to the world’s ENERGY and ECONOMIC course direction, derived from immobile concepts, definitions, and applications of same.

ENERGY AND ECONOMY - Both views require simultaneous upgrades. One without the other will be dysfunctional and incomplete.  Permitting the continued support and defense of ‘outdated systems’ that no longer sustain evolving life’s requirements, laying waste to Earth's natural systems and the life that depends on it, is not a healthy option.Top of Form

Here is why.

Energy and Economy are inseparable – The term Energy here includes Work – time effort spent.  Revisiting an historical view, one will note the similarities of scale dysfunction, obstacles to growth in both (energy and economy) - as measured by cumulative/composite outcomes – distinctly dangerous trends reflecting stagnation effects each has upon the other;  neither can continue to stagnate much longer and still support life.
AWARENESS IS KEY – as facts and evidence piles up – NOT ONLY to see the forest through the trees, but that ‘The Whole’ is a much greater, complete concept than the sum of its parts, and thrives with greater degrees of freedom than currently available.

A Brief, but comprehensive history, of energy and economy

Energy  Upgrade – Scale integration with mutually dependent natural laws (space time mass matter energy gravity) steered by Light, the Radius of Reality, the quantity C - is the leading indicator that will provide the insight to discarding reaction propulsion for the concept of field propulsion, antigravity, the Natural and Universal means of producing Kinetic Energy Differentials.

Economy: A New Story, an Updated Definition - Living Economies for a Living Earth

Evidence from the dated GOOD – energy economy -  like buggy whip, has spun into ‘THE OLD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY’ (necessary but insufficient, no longer suffices, conditions)

Socialism, Capitalism, Communism = USELESS DATED DEFINITIONS – akin to the Buggy Whip and the stagnant energy base today.

"Poverty in all its forms is the greatest single threat to peace, democracy, human rights, and the environment. It is a time bomb against the heart of liberty" World Trade Organization Director Mike Moore.
"Inadequate comprehension and application of Energy, in all its forms, in an increasingly complex and evolving civilization, is the single greatest causal factor of poverty - and the vehicle to self-destruct." Decatalyst
"As systems increase in complexity, their energy intensity and energy requirements to sustain life rise accordingly." Hydrocarbons ceased fitting the energy bill, became obsolete, years ago. Nobel Prize winner , Ilya Progogine

All the efforts – ENERGY – of mankind, converted to DEBT?

Hunger/Poverty Causes  Stemming mainly from a perverse definition of economics (and life), a definition so outmoded, that it does not even approach the delusion magnitude of the previous short sighted, flat earth conviction.
That Was Easy: In Just 60 Years, Neoliberal Capitalism Has Nearly Broken Planet Earth
David Korten
(from Kat) More studies point to evidence that our unbridled, dysfunctional, predatory, discriminatory economic system is causing harm to the very systems that support human life. "Planetary Boundaries 2.0" is a new report from researchers at the Stockholm Resilience Centre: "Pair of new studies show how various forms of human activity, driven by a flawed economic system and vast consumption, is laying waste to Earth's natural systems."

These are some of its key elements:
Time is money. Money is wealth. Making money creates wealth and is the primary measure of the worth of the individual, business, and the economy. Those who make money are society’s wealth creators.  Affluent lifestyles are their fair and just reward for their effort and contribution. Material consumption is the path to happiness. Poverty is a consequence of laziness. We humans are by nature individualistic competitors. This is a blessing, because the invisible hand of the free market channels our individual and
corporate competitive drive for financial gain to choices that maximize economic growth and thereby maximize the wealth and well-being of all. Corporations aggregate the talents and interests of people working together to provide the essential jobs, goods, and services that create a better life
for all. A corporation’s profits are the measure of its social contribution. As corporations create wealth, governments consume it. The functions of government are properly limited to assuring the common defense, securing property rights, and enforcing contracts. Economic inequality and environmental damage are a regrettable but necessary and unavoidable cost of the economic growth that eliminates poverty and drives the technological innovation that will free us from dependence on nature.

I assume you are all familiar with this story. Have you noticed that its every assertion is false or seriously misleading? It is taught in economics courses in our most prestigious universities as objective science, is constantly repeated by corporate media as the frame for every news report and political debate, and is a foundation of prevailing development theory and policy. It is, however, bad ethics, bad science, and bad economics. It doesn’t work. Guided by the Sacred Money and Markets story we have created a global system of economic institutions that value money more than life and empower global financial markets and corporations rather than people and living communities. We get a predictable outcome—a few people are awash in money and our health and well-being are placed at ever-greater risk by a system that destroys families and communities, devastates the essential life sustaining services of nature, and concentrates wealth and power detached from the needs and interests of people and communities.

We are all accomplices. We allow multinational food corporations and speculators to decide every day who is eating and living, and who is starving and dying.   They are now the major decision makers for our beliefs, perceptions, for what we study, what skills are required, university research directions, what jobs are available, pay scales, supplies required from entrepreneurs and new business startups, what we hear and see on multimedia, health and medical research trends/remedies/costs, elimination of durable goods, and so on to infinitude  ……….. leaving us free, in what little spare time we have,  to sponsor meaningless trivia to no end.

Worthy of note, free sun and wind energy gained ground only when prices/profit designs advanced to equal footing with current existing exorbitant energy costs …. And hydrogen from free water, not so much yet, as simple, cost free, processes to extract H2 from tap water are almost visible and will be very difficult to continue to hide under the carpet of pseudo beliefs.  ALL For our investors, shareholders ….. Maximize EBITDA, HOURLY and DAILY.

Photos showing the hungry and hunger lines awaiting emergency food in ravaged neighborhoods -  to skeptics, " an exact replica of reality. I can understand why that reality would beggar belief. But in the 21st century, such scenes exists."

Focusing ONLY upon half a cycle of any process, method, or individual………..is a mistake of massive, pending consequences, as Germany once learned.
$50 a vial to 28,000 a vial, overnight – just because
In spite of the spectacular advances 21st century sciences have made, we still support systems that starve – indirectly killing – 21,000 children daily. Totaling the real figures over half a century dwarfs the previous record held for mass killings.
Simple tips to avoiding the dangerous dumbing down trap in Energy and Economics – Our lives and future generations depend on it
$100,000.00 PER PILL - BECAUSE WE CAN (AND THE CROWD SCREAMS ‘MORE, MORE, MORE!!!’)
